The fourth and final day of the 2024 NCAA Track and Field National Championships is set to kick off Saturday afternoon. The women of Oregon have 11 opportunities to pick up points in their quest for an NCAA Championship.
The Ducks head into Saturday’s competitions in third place with 15 points. It took the University of Florida 41 points to win the men’s title on Friday.
High jump | Saturday, 2:00 p.m.
Cheyla Scott was the runner-up in the competition at the Pac-12 Championships. Her 1.84-meter clearance in the preliminary clinched a spot in Saturday’s Championship.
Discus | Saturday, 2:05 p.m.
Jaida Ross is already a 2024 NCAA Champion in the shot put. She’ll look to get another scoring opportunity in the discus. Ross competed in both the shot put and discus back in 2022 but was one spot off of the podium.
4x100m relay | Saturday, 2:32 p.m.
Lily Jones, Jadyn Mays, Shana Grebo and Ella Clayton earned a non-automatic qualifying spot in the finals with a time of 43.02 seconds. The group’s best time this season of 43 seconds came in the Pac-12 Championship.
1500m | Saturday, 2:41 p.m.
Klaudia Kazimierska finished third in her semifinal heat with a personal best time of 4:06.92. Mia Barnett also ran for the Ducks on Thursday and recorded a new season best but didn’t qualify for the final.
Kazimierska was fourth in the event at the NCAA Championships last season. She’ll look to improve on that result in her sophomore season.
100m | Saturday, 3:22 p.m.
Mays participated in three competitions on Thursday. Mays secured a first-place time in her 100-meter heat of 11.04 seconds to advance to the final.
400m hurdles | Saturday, 3:57 p.m.
Grebo competed in both of Thursday’s relays. The 400-meter hurdles was her only individual event. Grebo earned a personal-best time of 55.94 seconds in her second place finish.
200m | Saturday, 4:07 p.m.
The 200-meter dash was Mays’ third and final event on Thursday and will be her last competition again on Saturday. Mays finished first in her heat in the 200-meter semifinal as well with a personal best time of 22.27 seconds.
5000m | Saturday, 4:25 p.m.
Silan Ayyildz previously competed at the University of South Carolina where she won the SEC Championship and advanced to an NCAA Championship in her freshman year. This season, she crossed the finish line in her qualifier with a time of 16:05.82 to snag the 12th and final spot.
4x400m | Saturday, 4:51 p.m.
The all-junior squad of Grebo, Clayton, Katriina Wright and Shaniya Hall entered Thursday’s semifinal coming off a Pac-12 Championship win and a fifth-place qualifying finish at the NCAA preliminaries.
The Ducks finished fourth in their heat with a time of 3:28.77. They didn’t get an automatic qualifier but advanced with one of the three-best non-automatic qualifying times.
Heptathlon | Saturday
The duo of Annika Williams and Taylor Chocek concluded the first four heptathlon events on Friday. Williams was fourth in the standings and Chocek sat in 10th after the first day.
The final three heptathlon events will take place on Saturday, as follows:
Long jump (10:30 a.m.)
Javelin (11:45 a.m.)
800m (4:13 p.m.)
