For a few glorious weeks it looked like Oregon and Kansas State were on a crash course to meet in the national title. That’s ancient history now, but the Ducks will still got a shot at the Wildcats come Jan. 3.

Thanks to a number-four ranking in the final BCS standings, the Ducks earned an at-large invite to the Fiesta Bowl to play the Big-12 champions, the same Kansas State team that was originally on the Ducks schedule for 2012.

It’s the fourth-straight BCS bowl berth for Chip Kelly and the Ducks — the longest active streak in the nation.
