Links: Chip Kelly rumors, “Modern Family” trash-talking and unsung hero Dane Ebanez

After a spate of NFL firings, Chip Kelly is once again in the spotlight; this time he is tabbed as the frontrunner for the head coaching job for the Philadelphia Eagles, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Arizona, Buffalo, San Diego, Kansas City and Chicago are all also looking for a new coach.

Despite the rumors, NBC Sports is reporting that Chip is only talking about the Fiesta Bowl — no surprise there.

John Canzano wrote a great piece about the Ducks’ scout team player Dane Ebanez — after four years with the team, Ebanez is graduating this spring. The Fiesta Bowl will be his last game as a Duck. Will Chip give him the chance to record his first-ever catch?

“Modern Family” stars Ty Burrell — an Oregon alum — and Eric Stonestreet — a Wildcat — recorded a pretty funny promo for the game for ESPN.

Kansas State’s leading receiver, Chris Harper, once played for the Ducks before transferring after the 2008 season.
