Report: Mike Moser to transfer to Oregon basketball

Posted by Isaac Rosenthal on Tuesday, May. 7 at 3:50 pm.

DuckTerritory recruiting expert Matt Prehm is reporting that UNLV transfer Mike Moser has picked Oregon as the school to continue his college career.

It’s a huge get for Oregon head coach Dana Altman, who has made a living by picking up strong senior transfers. Devoe Joseph, Olu Ashaolu and Arslan Kazemi were all integral parts of his Oregon squads — and Moser could be the best transfer yet.

He will be eligible to play right away; he chose Oregon over Gonzaga and Washington. At UNLV, he averaged a double-double — and was an honorable mention All-American — with 14 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Dana Altman is picking up some real talent, even if it is just for one year. If the ducks can make another NCAA run, then these one and done players will have helped to get the University of Oregon name out there in College Basketball. It will only help recruiting, as it already has. I see that Joe Young from Houston is the latest to try for a one and done deal with the ducks. A fine shooting guard who might get to play this year for the ducks.
