Gonzaga’s women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves was on campus Sunday afternoon in Eugene to meet with the Oregon women’s basketball team in a closed-door meeting at Matthew Knight Arena, according to a source close to the team. Graves is one of the top targets to replace Paul Westhead as the Ducks’ next head coach.
The decision could be finalized in the next couple of days.
Graves has held the head coaching job at Gonzaga for 14 years and currently holds a 382-162 record overall. He previously coached at St. Mary’s as a head coach and was an assistant at Portland. Graves is the winningest coach in Gonzaga history, leading the Bulldogs to a ninth-straight West Coast Conference Championship in 2013-2014.
