Oregon men’s and women’s basketball teams are set to host a clinic on Sunday, October 8 as part of its partnership with the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
The clinic will be on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. PST at Matthew Knight Arena. Local boys and girls in attendance will go through basketball drills as they’re coached by Oregon student-athletes and coaches.
The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation was founded in memory of Kobe and Gianna “Gigi” Bryant. “The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating positive impact for underserved athletes and boys and girls in sports,” the mission statement on its website says.
The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation announced in September that Oregon would be one of the five universities it would partner with this year. The Ducks will wear Kobe and Gigi Bryant Nike shoes throughout the 2023-2024 season as part of the partnership.
