This season, Takeda is hitting .438 with three home-runs in 105 at-bats. Her on-base percentage of .508 is tied for third-best on the team. She’s started in all 33 games for head coach Mike White this season, knocking in 19 runs and scoring 34 runs for the No. 1-ranked Ducks.
Takeda was also named to the USA National Team for the 2015 summer season and will pick between the two opportunities.

The Charge is the newest team to join the NPF as the fifth team in the league, it was announced before the 2015 season. The NPF is comprised of five teams — the Pennsylvania Rebellion, the Akron Racers, the USSSA Pride, the Chicago Bandits and the Dallas Charge — with its season starting May 29 and ending Aug. 17.
Last season, Courtney Ceo and Alexa Peterson were selected from the Ducks.
All college seniors are eligible for the annual NPF draft and can sign contracts at the conclusion of the current collegiate season.
