Oregon women’s basketball forward Jillian Alleyne is one of 15 student-athletes in America to be selected to the John R. Wooden Award national ballot, it was announced Monday.
Voting begins March 16 and ends March 24. Voters may take into consideration the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
The Wooden Award All American Team — consisting of the nation’s top five players — will be announced the week of the Final Four (April 5 & 7).
The announcement of the of 2015 Wooden Award winner will be televised live on ESPN2 from Los Angeles at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 10.
Alleyne is one of four Pac-12 players to be nominated for the award. She’s currently No. 2 in rebounds per game in the NCAA (15.2 a game). She averaged 18.2 points per game this season for the Ducks.
