After posting a flawless weekend against Utah, Oregon softball pitcher Cheridan Hawkins was named Pac-12 pitcher of the week for the second time this season, the conference announced Tuesday.
Hawkins earned the league’s weekly award in week one, as well.
Hawkins has not yet allowed a run in Pac-12 play, tossing two complete games in wins over Utah on Saturday and Monday. She allowed two unearned runs in Friday’s 4-2 win on six hits, one walk and four strikeouts.
Hawkins followed up with a better performance on Monday, no-hitting Utah through five full innings. She threw her fifth shutout of the season, tossing nine K’s and allowing one walk in Oregon’s 12-0 win.
Her season ERA of 0.32 is second-best in the nation.
The Ducks host Utah Valley on Mar. 25 at 4:00 p.m. in the first of a doubleheader.
