When a sign was posted on the former site of Wendy’s on Franklin Boulevard with “Here Soon: In-N-Out” it didn’t take long for Eugene to react.
Many took to Twitter to express excitement and anticipation for the famous fast-food chain landing in Eugene. However, it was soon proclaimed a hoax by an In-N-Out spokesperson on KVAL.
The spokesperson told KVAL that it’s planning to open its inaugural Oregon location in Medford, but an opening date has not yet been determined.
The creator of the hoax — “Eugene Makerspace Timelapsinator” — posted a video to YouTube yesterday to explain his/her process and attention it received from the Eugene community.
At least for now, In-N-Out fans in Eugene will have to keep dreaming.
