Oregon forward, Jillian Alleyne, is one of 20 student-athletes across the nation to be selected to the John R. Wooden Women’s Late Season Top-20 list – it was announced Thursday afternoon.
The list is selected by a group of national college women’s basketball media members.
Alleyne’s selection places her among 20 players who are the front runners for college basketball’s most prestigious individual award.
She averages team-highs in points (17.4) and rebounds (15.5) per game. Her rebound mark ranks second in the NCAA.
Alleyne is one of five Pac-12 players to find themselves on the list.
Players not selected to the list are still eligible for the National Ballot, which consists of 15 student-athletes.
The Wooden Award All-American team is based on the nation’s top five players. Recipients will be announced during the NCAA Final Four in Tempe, Florida during the week of April 5 and 7. The 39th annual Wooden Award ceremony on April 10 will announce the men and women’s award winners live on ESPN.
