Colorado outscored Oregon women’s basketball 46-33 in the second half en route to an 84-69 win on Sunday in Boulder.
The loss drops the Ducks to 12-15, 5-11 Pac-12 and is their third consecutive loss.
Jillian Alleyne posted yet another double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Katelyn Loper added 14 points on three-of-five shooting from three-point range. Lexi Petersen had 12 points. Drea Toler finished with nine points and five assists.
Oregon’s largest lead of 13 points came in the first half, but allowed Colorado to get back in the game with a few critical runs.
The Ducks led by 13 points, 24-11 with 11:54 before halftime after a Loper three-pointer. Colorado erased an 11 point Oregon lead with a 14-1 run into the locker room to pull ahead 38-36.
Oregon shot 54.2 percent in the first half compared to Colorado’s 44.7 percent.
With 14:22 remaining in the game, the game was tied at 45, but after a 50-50 tie, the Buffs put together a 10-2 run to take the 60-52 lead with 9:54 to go. Back-to-back buckets by Colorado’s Jamee Swan gave the Buffs a double-digit lead, 64-54, with fewer than eight minutes remaining. Oregon engineered a 6-0 to pull to within seven, 69-61, but Colorado’s Jen Reese scored seven straight points to put Colorado back up, 80-65.
Colorado’s largest lead — 17 points — came with 55 seconds remaining.
Notes: Colorado outrebounded Oregon 43-31. Colorado had 17 offensive rebounds, which led to a 17-10 advantage in second chance points. Oregon’s Megan Carpenter, playing 15 miles from her hometown of Longmont, Colorado, had four points and played 20 minutes after picking up her fourth foul with 9:54 to go.
Oregon will return home to close out its regular season against California on Thursday and against Stanford on Sunday.
