A female University of Oregon student told the University of Oregon Police Department that she was attacked by an unknown man at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, according to a UOPD crime alert released Tuesday morning.
The student told police that the man held a sharp object to her throat and attempted to drag her backward before the student was able to pepper spray him and escape. According to the report, the attack happened near Hamilton Hall just west of Columbia Street.
The woman was able to get a glance of the man as she left, and described him as, “about 6-foot-4, with a slight build, uncertain skin tone, with no facial hair, wearing a dark zip-up sweatshirt, a black beanie hat and dark sweatpants.”
Following the report, Eugene Police and UOPD searched the area with K-9 officers, but were unable to find the suspect.
This incident is unresolved, and an investigation is ongoing, the report said.
