— Oregon sophomore Megan Condor is taking action on her road to recovery for the Duck’s golf team. Condor spent the majority of the summer recovering from ankle surgery.
— Vernon Adams got the Ducks back on track with a win at Washington last week and gave the Ducks one of their most consistent performances of the season at quarterback. The Ducks will have an interesting quarterback situation on their hands when Adams departs after this season. Current backups Jeff Lockie and Taylor Allie are both slated to return, as are redshirt freshman Morgan Mahalak and Travis Jonsen. Local prep standout Justin Herbert recently committed to play at Oregon next year and could also be in the mix.
— Oregon redshirt freshman defensive lineman Jalen Jelks has provided depth and an infusion of youth for a senior-heavy Duck defensive line unit that has been the defenses most consistent unit thus far.
— It was announced earlier this week that former Oregon All-American defensive back Ifo Ekpre-Olomu will collect a record-$3M loss of value insurance policy. Ekpre-Olomu was projected to be among the top-12 picks in the first round of the NFL draft last season, but tore his ACL in practice two weeks before the Rose Bowl and missed the remainder of the season. He was selected by the Cleveland Browns late in the seventh round and found out shortly after the draft that he had dislocated his knee and will be forced to miss the entire 2015 NFL schedule.
— The Oregon men’s tennis team captured four singles and two doubles-match victories in the opening round of the ITA Regionals in Seattle, Washington Thursday afternoon.
