Oregon football debuted at No. 7 nationally in the Associated Press preseason Top 25 Poll, which was released Sunday morning.
Ohio State was unanimously voted on at No. 1, followed by TCU, Alabama, Baylor, Michigan State and Auburn.
Five other Pac-12 teams appear in the preseason poll, which is voted on weekly by a 60-person panel of sports writers and broadcasters across the country. USC appears at No. 8, UCLA at No. 13, ASU at No. 15, Stanford at No. 21 and Arizona at No. 22.
Oregon finished last season ranked No. 2 in the final AP Poll after a 42-20 loss to Ohio State in the National Championship game. The Ducks have finished in the AP top five in four of the last five seasons.
The Ducks kickoff their season on September 5 against Eastern Washington in Eugene. The game is set to start at 5 p.m. and will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
