Oregon softball is slated for a three-peat after the Pac-12 coaches narrowly picked the Ducks to win their third straight conference championship, the league announced Thursday.
The Ducks claimed five of the eight first place votes and a total of 61 points, edging UCLA for the coveted top spot. The Bruins finished with four first place votes and 60 points.
Rounding out the top three was a tie between Arizona and Washington, followed by Arizona State, Utah, California, Oregon State and Stanford.
The Ducks are set to open the 2015 season Feb. 6 at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Arizona. The opponents scheduled for the three day invitational are Cal Poly, Texas, Northwestern, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Nevada.
