Both California and Oregon shot a combined 21 on the first playoff hole, leading to an extended playoff. But on the second hole, the Golden Bears combined to shoot 19 while the Ducks finished in 24 strokes — meaning Cal would claim the 2012 Pac-12 Men’s Golf Championship. Andrew Yun of Stanford won the individual title by shooting a 275 (14-under-par) for the tournament.
In the women’s Pac-12 Championship, No. 13 California beat out No. 3 USC and No. 17 Arizona for the league crown. Oregon finished in a three-way tie with Washington and Washington State for eighth place. Oregon’s Cassy Isagawa placed in a five-way tie for 12th, shooting 222 (6-over-par). Doris Chen of USC claimed the individual title by shooting a 217 (1-over-par) for the tournament.
