Over 8,000 runners and walkers took to the streets of Eugene for the 2012 Eugene Marathon and Half-Marathon. The race started and ended at Hayward Field, weaving its way south then out along the Willamette River before the runners returned. The overall winner was Mike Wisniewski, 33, of Coravllis, with a time of 2:20:41. The women’s leader, Allison Howard, 32, of San Francisco, finished in a time of 2:53:07.
