The ASUO Elections Board has decided to move elections to week three. Polls will open at 9 a.m. Monday morning and close Friday at 5 p.m.
According to ASUO Elections Coordinator Cedar Cosner, the ballot will be the same except for the executive ticket. Ben and Lamar will replace Katie and Alex. @@http://asuo.uoregon.edu/executive.php?a=12@@
The slate members from the Katie and Alex campaign who were going to be a part of the general elections will stay on the ballot. Cosner explained that the slate members will keep the Katie and Alex campaign name unless they choose to become independent candidates and run without a slate name.
Although polls have been open this week, any votes submitted will be invalidated. According to Cosner, the University administration supports this decision.
“We have been working with them for the past couple of days, and they are fully behind us,” he said.
