A two-car crash occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 11th Avenue and Alder Street, closing the intersection for nearly an hour.
Charity White, 32, was driving east on 11th Ave with her three children. Ann Hathaway, 65, attempted to turn left onto Alder when the front-right panel of her BMW was struck.
“I thought it was my turn to go,” said Hathaway, who is the owner of the Clothes Horse. “I guess not.”
Nobody was severely hurt in either of the cars. White said two of her children experienced light seat belt burns.
“I think he (her son) was scared by the noise, if anything,” said White, who noted that this was her first accident. “Like I told them, it sucks, but it could have been worse.”
Hathaway, White and White’s children walked to Sacred Heart Medical Center to be examined, but they all believed that they were fine. @@http://www.peacehealth.org/sacred-heart-university-district/Pages/default.aspx@@
