To prepare Hayward Field and the surrounding area for the Olympic Trials in June, East 15th Avenue on the University campus will be fenced to allow for construction, which will slow pedestrian and vehicle traffic for the next 15 days.
Traffic along the south lane of the avenue, which is the eastbound lane, will be restricted from the Bowerman Building to Agate Street from now to June 1. Westbound traffic will be permitted on the street, but vehicles must exit onto University Street.
Security staff will be on-site to help direct traffic, and current traffic signs are posted as well.
Workers will be servicing the site roughly 12 hours a day until the project is complete.
Further information can be found by contacting the Office of Parking and Transportation.
