Take a Minute is a daily post that will catch you up on Internet happenings on campus and around the world.
Fans. They’re both the best and the worst. The best, because they keep sports alive (both financially and spiritually) and do lots of hilarious things. The worst, because they can also be ignorant, shortsighted and reactionary — and because they do do stuff like this:
Oh, what am I thinking? That guy is awesome.
For some reason, the past few days have featured an exceptional amount of strange fan-related incidents. Look at this kid here, just having the time of his life:
I’d like the Celtics a lot more of all their fans were like this kid. What a boss. Sadly, most Boston fans are more like this guy:
This was after a loss to the 76ers on Monday, just in case you were wondering. Don’t think he cared too much.
Finally, we have this adorable Thunder fan, who was positively flummoxed by Craig Sager’s presence in the stands:
Anyway, moving on. You know how Usain Bolt’s Twitter bio calls him “The most naturally gifted athlete the world has ever seen”? (Yes, really. Usain Bolt is the anti-Humblebrag). Carlos Lee wants you to know he’s pretty gifted, too:
Elsewhere, Twitter went crazy last night when Russell Westbrook showed up for his postgame presser in a Lacoste polo with fish hooks all over it and lens-less red glasses:
When David Stern instituted the dress code, this is totally what he had in mind. I hope Russell has a whole army of shirts identical to this one in his closet, ala Doug in that Disney show way back when.

My favorite part is LeBron looking like he’s at the most awkward middle school dance ever.
Sports Video of the Week No. 1:
Say what you will about Kobe Bryant, but you can’t deny that his press conference performances are consistently fantastic:
Sports Video of the Week No. 2:
Back in my little league days, I got hit in the pinkie and was subsequently terrified every time I stepped to the plate for a good while. If I’d ever had this umpire, it might have put me over the edge:
