Homeless village proposed in Eugene
A new homeless village could be popping up in the near future, just west of Whitaker neighborhood. The proposed village would have space enough for 30 adults, with priority given to families with children.
Unlike other proposed areas, the 2.6-acre lot on North Garfield isn’t near residential neighborhoods, according to The Register-Guard.
The Eugene City Council will vote on the issue, but not before the representatives discuss the plans with nearby neighborhoods.

According to KEZI some analysts see this increase as a sign that the economy is stagnant, others say the slight increase in due to more people actively searching for jobs, not more people out of work.

Investigators feel optimistic about the bust because they know that drugs will no longer be distributed in the area, but are discouraged because they did not find about the organization until recently, according to KMTR.
