Unemployment rate drops

September led to 114,000 payroll jobs, as well as some corrections in past data, which added 86,000 more jobs in July and August.
I-5 may become safer after cable median installed
The Oregon Department of Transportation will be installing cable median barriers @@checked link@@along I-5 this year. These cables play a roll in reducing serious injury and death by preventing crossover crashes.

ASUO putting forth EMU referendum with lower fee
November will bring about another attempt from the ASUO to pass an EMU renovation referendum. According to a news release, the cost of deferred maintenance this year is estimated at more than $12 million. While the cost of the project would still fall on the students, the ASUO will be looking for ways to reduce the cost by fundraising.
Red Flag weather warning administered in Oregon
Due to highly dry @@checked link@@conditions, the National Weather Service has put into place a Red Flag warning across some parts of Oregon. The Red Flag warning is used to inform local firefighters that conditions are perfect for fires.
