The Eugene Police Department is collecting winter clothes for the Warm Clothing Collection drive at the West University Station on East 13th Avenue and Alder Street from now to Nov. 19.
The event is organized by Officer Randy Ellis. EPD will send all donations to community service agencies that help the homeless community.
Officer Ellis hopes a large portion of the community will participate and make the event a success like in previous years.
Last year, 75 pairs of boots, more than 100 gloves and sleeping bags as well as other items were bought with the money raised in the drive and sent with the donations to the service agencies.
