Sex offender sentenced
Adam Brown, who was arrested on charges for assaulting a boy at a Portland Wendy’s restaurant, was sentenced to 33 years in prison, reported KGW.
Brown was already a paroled sex-offender before the July incident, having been charged with 43 counts.
Two arrests in Salem for illegal drugs
Two men were arrested in Salem on charges for possession of marijuana and methamphetamine on Tuesday, reported KGW.
Investigators believe the marijuana was intended for delivery after finding a drug sales log in the trunk of the two men’s car.
Historic bridge to be reopened.
The 90-year-old Arch Bridge, after 22 months of repairs, will reopen on Sunday, following a three-day celebration, reported The Oregonian. The Arch Bridge connects Oregon City and West Linn.
Newberg tattoo artist arrested
Stephen Matt Lister, an 18-year-old from Newberg, was arrested on 10 counts of performing services in a field of practice without a tattoo license, three counts of third-degree sex abuse, three counts of third-degree rape and two counts of third-degree sodomy, reported KATU.
Lister was reported to have given tattoos to 10 people in his apartment using re-used inks, which can cause health risks.
Oregon soldiers sue for illness
Twelve Oregon National Guardsmen sued Iraqi War contractor Kellogg, Brown and Root for allegedly exposing them to sodium dichromate, a carcinogenic toxin, which caused the soldiers to have respiratory problems, reported The Associated Press.
Kellogg, Brown and Root said they tried to warn the soldiers about the toxin, but also felt there was a different factor to their ailments.
