The Oregon soccer team will finish out their season Friday at 4 p.m. at Papé Field against in-state rivals, OSU.
The Ducks go into the game with a record of 7-10-2 overall and 2-7-1 in Pac-12 play, while the Beavers are at a strong 11-5-3 overall and 6-3-1 in the conference.
At this point in the season, the difference between a win and a loss is meaningless as far as Ducks’ record goes. However, that doesn’t mean that this game isn’t important, as the rivalry between the two schools is always strong.
Over the season, head coach Tara Erickson played between five and six freshman per game, and for the younger players, each game is important. Going out on a win could help their bruised pride and give them an optimistic look for the coming year.
The team will be honoring their seniors, including stand-outs such as Nicole Bakke, Mo Fitzgerald, and Scout Libke.
