As part of a statewide push to register student voters, Congressman Peter DeFazio@@http://www.defazio.house.gov/@@ will be meeting with students on the University of Oregon campus on Oct. 10.
During the event, DeFazio will be meeting with student leaders of the campus vote campaign, after which he will clipboard canvass at the University’s Street Faire between 12:30 and 1 p.m.
The University’s student vote campaign has registered 7,300 of the 41,000 student voters registered statewide by the Oregon Student Association this year. The OSA has registered more student voters than any other nonpartisan organization in the state.
