The Eugene Water and Electric Board @@http://www.eweb.org/@@will begin its process Monday of repairing the water main that runs under Pearl Street and between East 17th and 19th Avenues, closing the right lane of Pearl Street for the next four weeks.
The left lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
Construction crews will be replacing 800 feet of the water main’s cast iron pipes with more durable ductile iron pipe after a rupture of the water main determined the current pipes were in poor condition.
