Nobody likes a random. So, if you’re planning on showing up to a party where you don’t know anyone, you better plan on being awesome.
The first step to successfully infiltrating a random party is to not act random. Don’t stand around awkwardly and under no circumstances should you ask for alcohol.
Your best chance to having a good time at a random party is to find the hosts and make friends. Most likely, they will be much more inclined to let you stay if you make the effort to introduce yourself and thank them for having you. And, if you’re lucky, they might even offer a little alcohol without you having to ask.
If you start the night not knowing where you’re going, have a maximum of four people in your group. The bigger your group is, the harder it will be to get into a random party.
The most important thing to remember while at a random party is to respect the house, the hosts, and the guests who are already there. Nothing will get a random kicked out of a party faster than a rude comment or a disrespect of property — and that property includes music. It’s not your house or your playlist, so if it’s not your favorite song, that’s just too bad.
If, for some reason, you get kicked out of the party anyway, don’t make a scene. Just leave quietly, and know that the next party you find will probably be better anyway.
