The University of Oregon plans to remember and celebrate the life of former music school dean Anne Dhu McLucas who died on Sept. 7, 2012.
The memorial service will take place on Oct. 20, at 4 p.m. in Beall Concert Hall on campus and is open to the public.
McLucas was a professor and dean of the School of Music and Dance, and a victim in a double homicide along with her partner James Gillette.
Along with the service, there are plans to present a two-part event on the “Oral Traditions Old and New in Music” this fall. Presentations given on Sept. 29, Oct. 19 and Oct. 20 will honor McLucas’ passing.
