Oregon State Police dispatch received a call early Thursday morning from a 41-year-old male saying a driver from another vehicle fired a shot at him as he was driving northbound on Interstate-5 near the Glenwood interchange.
Lawrence Allen Mitchell, 50, was arrested Thursday afternoon after an OSP trooper matched his pickup to the suspect vehicle that was parked in the 1600 block of Glenwood Boulevard, according to an OSP press release.
Following a search of the area around the Glenwood exit, OSP found Mitchell, along with a handgun in his truck.
Troopers arrested Mitchell on charges of attempted murder, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, discharging weapon across highway, pointing firearm at another and second-degree criminal mischief. He lodged in Lane County Jail.
