It’s 7-0 after one quarter of play here at Autzen Stadium, and after a week of hype surrounding both offenses, it’s the defenses that have stepped up.
No. 3 Oregon has turned the ball over three times so far, two of them fumbles. Ball control is something that hasn’t exactly come easily for the Ducks, even in their non conference games to begin the year.
No. 22 Arizona has been just as sloppy. Currently 0-for-3 in the redzone, the Wildcats have gone for, and failed to convert, two fourth downs to accompany a Matt Scott INT.
Three quick stats:
Fourth-Down Conversions: Arizona 0-2, Oregon 0-1
Penalties: Arizona: 1 for 10 yards, Oregon: 2 for 19 yards
Total yards: Arizona 80, Oregon 114
1st Quarter Stats: Arizona @ Oregon
