Chip Kelly spoke to the media Tuesday on his weekly conference call about what he expects to see from Mike Leach’s@@http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=322520265@@ Cougars on Saturday night at Century Link Field. Kelly said that the Cougars’ pass-first (and second, and third) approach means they’re never out of a game and will provide a challenge for the Ducks’ secondary.
“A lot of people have a run-first approach,” Kelly said. “Then when they get behind they start throwing the football to get back into it, but I think they’re always in the game because of Mike (Leach)’s offense. He’s been known as an offensive innovator, and they score a lot of points … I think it’s a real formidable foe that we’re going up there to play against.”
