Oregon’s defense made a statement in shutting down the Wildcats and holding them scoreless in five redzone visits and the AP poll voters have responded moving Oregon up to number two in the poll. Alabama remains in first place with 59 of the 60 first place votes while LSU drops to third, though the Tigers still have a lone first place vote. The Ducks also moved from third to second in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Arizona dropped out of the Top 25 with the loss while Oregon State, fresh off a second straight win over a ranked opponent enters the Top 25 for the first time this year at number 18.
