Lane County will be holding its annual vehicle and equipment auction this week, which is being billed as the largest auction ever.
Comprised of more than 100 vehicles – including cars, trucks, backhoes and city buses — the auction will start Thursday at 8 a.m. and continue until Saturday at midnight, reported The Register-Guard. Though Lane County has held yearly auctions for more than a decade, this year’s auction will be the largest ever partly due to recent budget cuts that have left county agencies with more vehicles than people to operate them.
Lane County is hoping to bring in as much as $750,000 from the auction.
