While the number of remaining tickets for Saturday’s tilt against Arkansas State remains unknown, the University has ramped up their efforts to retain the sellout streak with a deal on the popular website Groupon. For $110, one can purchase two tickets and two sodas which is a 29% discount.
“We have roughly 3,000 tickets left,” Craig Pintens, Senior Associate Athletic Director of Marketing & Public Relations, said. “We are always looking for creative ways to market to our fans.  Groupon is the world’s largest daily deals site with more than 38 million active customers, so it was a natural fit.”
On the student side, distribution of the unclaimed freshman tickets has continued throughout the week, which appears to go against the system set out on GoDucks.com.
ASUO Athletic Commissioner Katherine Du Pont noticed the discrepancy Tuesday morning and had the following exchange with the ticket office:
