Word from practice this afternoon is that sophomore quarterback Bryan Bennett did not practice today and is considering transferring schools, according to multiple news outlets. We’ll have more on the subject as it develops.
Bennett just walked up from the parking lot. Asked about his future, said he’s going in to talk with Kelly right now.

I asked Bryan Bennett if he’s still a Duck. Said that’s what he’s about to go discuss with Chip. I don’t believe he practiced today.

Heard from source this morning a ‘key’ player was leaving Ducks, and confirmed this afternoon that this ex-player was referring to Bennett.

That said, if Bennett still needed to meet with Kelly, conversation could go a lot of different ways. Working on more details.

Oregon would take a big depth hit at QB if Bennett transfers.Who would be Mariota’s back-up?Haines?True FR Rodrigues or Lockie?

When is the last time a starting QB at Oregon lasted a full season uninjured?I can’t even remember.Oregon needs Bennett.

If Bennett transfers now from Oregon, it’s a rash move. If Mariota slips up, he’ll be right back in there. He should wait til December.
