Word from practice this afternoon is that sophomore quarterback Bryan Bennett did not practice today and is considering transferring schools, according to multiple news outlets. We’ll have more on the subject as it develops.

Heard from source this morning a ‘key’ player was leaving Ducks, and confirmed this afternoon that this ex-player was referring to Bennett.

Update, 4:55: Aaron Fentress and Adam Jude at The Oregonian are reporting that sources indicate Bennett will stay with Oregon.

Update, 7:35: Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian is now reporting that Bennett will indeed stay with the Ducks. It’s worth noting that the fact that there’s been no announcement from the team or athletic department is a positive sign for the team and concerned fans.
