Take a Minute is a daily post that will catch you up on Internet happenings on campus and around the world.
This revelation has to be up there with the other great accomplishments of the Internet like the SOPA boycott and the death of MySpace: A random blogger pinpointed the exact day featured in ‘Good Day‘ from Ice Cube’s famous song. In case you’re wondering, that exact day is January 20, 1992.
Meanwhile, in Virginia, Gov. Robert McDonnell is proposing to sell the naming rights of the cash-strapped state’s highways and bridges to make up funding gaps. I can see this catching on in Eugene. I wouldn’t mind Hilyard switching to Dough Co. Street or 13th to Frog’s Joke Books Way as long as they fix some of the uneven sidewalks I’m always stumbling over around campus.
In football news, star recruit Arik Armstead committed to the Ducks last night, sending shockwaves through the UO Twitterverse.
