The Ducks found their swing on Sunday, consistently moving players around the diamond to score eight runs, defeating the Austin Peay Governors 8-1. Freshman Pitcher Jake Reed had a phenomenal performance, throwing for seven innings with only two hits and eight K’s. The Ducks offense was relentless, with seven players scoring runs including a homerun from catcher Brett Hambright. The Ducks were sloppy in the top of the ninth, blowing the shutout on a run set up by two consecutive errors. With the win, the Ducks advance to the Super Regional, the final step before the College World Series in Omaha.
