Nike athlete LaShawn Merritt and Aldrich Bailey talk about their experience in the first heat of the 400 meter prelims. Merritt took first and Bailey took fifth in a race in which Tavaris Tate from Mississippi State would collapse in the second half. Tate’s condition is as yet unknown.
