Peggy Orenstein, an award-winning author on issues affecting girls and women, will speak at the School of Journalism and Communication’s annual Johnston Lecture tomorrow.
Orenstein has written three books. Her most recent is the New York Times bestseller “Waiting for Daisy: A Tale of Two Continents, Three Religions, Five Infertility Doctors, An Oscar, An Atomic Bomb, A Romantic Night and One Woman’s Quest to Become a Mother.” She is a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine and has written for The Los Angeles Times, Vogue and Elle.
The event, titled “Writing about the Politics of Everyday Life,” will take place today at 4 p.m. in the Gerlinger Hall alumni lounge. The lecture is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a reception and book signing.
