The 18-year-old University student who was found dead in Living Learning Center South is being considered a suicide, police said.
The student was found at 1:59 p.m. on Sunday. The case has since been turned over to the Lane County medical examiner.
The University provides a number of resourses for suicide prevention at preventsuicide.uoregon.edu.
For those who have been touched by death or suicide, grief counseling is offered at the University Counseling Center on the University Health Center’s second floor. Students can also contact the center at 346-3227, and drop in hours are from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
