The ASUO is looking for additional volunteers for the Eugene 08 Festival. Volunteers will receive complimentary Nike apparel and a pass to shop at the Nike Employee Store.
Volunteers wearing the Nike apparel can ride Lane Transit District busses at no charge.
The Eugene 08 Web site lists volunteer opportunities from June 27 through July 6 in community programs, hospitality, youth programs and competition support, among others.
Volunteers must attend a three-hour training program on campus and will be expected to volunteer for five four-hour shifts, according to an e-mail from Interim Dean of Students Laura Blake Jones.
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and submit to a criminal records check, according to the e-mail.
ASUO President Sam Dotters-Katz said an additional 60 volunteers are needed, and the ASUO Executive is assisting the University administration by sending e-mails to student programs and the Greek community on campus.
