Railroad announcing spray dates, locations
The Union Pacific Railroad will inspect and spray weeds along track crossings through Eugene between Eighth Avenue and Prairie Road, on the Brooklyn Subline and between Garfield and Danebo Streets.

Thief trades loot for reward
Police say a man is stealing from Eugene residents, returning the stolen property and asking for a reward, without mentioning that he originally swiped the goods.
The Eugene Police Department won’t release a description of the man while the investigation is ongoing. Anybody with information can call police at 682-5376 or at 682-8844.
