Four players from the Oregon women’s basketball team received academic honors from the Pacific-10 Conference.
The honors, announced last week, acknowledged juniors Carolyn Ganes and Eleanor Haring and sophomores Kaela Chapdelaine and Gabrielle Richards. Ganes, Haring and Chapdelaine are all two-time recipients. Richards earned the honor for the first time.
The Pac-10 chose five players each for first team and second team honors and 27 additional players received honorable mention recognition. Student-athletes can become eligible for the award with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA. Athletes must either be a starter or regular contributor.
The women’s basketball team completed its season March 3 with a 64-57 loss to Arizona in the opening round of the Pac-10 Conference Tournament.
