The Oregon men finished 80 over par, but gained ground on Washington State for a race out of the cellar of the Pac-10 Championships. Senior All-American Gregg LaVoie shot 3 over par in his final round and finished in a tie for 40th at 16 over par for the tournament.
Oregon Junior Matt Ma and sophomore Joey Benedetti shot even final rounds to close out their tournaments.
The other two Ducks who scored for Oregon were sophomore Derek Sipe, who finished tied with Ma for 43rd. Sipe led the Ducks after the first round of the tournament, but faltered in the second round before closing out his tournament.
Senior Chris Dukeminier filled the fifth spot after scoring a 21 over par and finishing tied for 52nd.
UCLA won the Pac-10 Championship scoring even for the tournament. Washington finished second at 12 over par.
UCLA’s Daniel Im took his second round lead to the finish, as he edged out Arizona State’s Niklas Lemke by one stroke for the individual title.
