The ASUO Constitution Court has ruled that the kiosks at the Heart of Campus are considered one bulletin board, meaning student government elections candidates may only post four to each kiosk, not four on each side.
The decision came after a grievance was filed against the Elections Board for removing 12 posters from the kiosks.
ASUO campaigners are limited to one poster per side of the kiosk, not four per side as the student who filed the grievance stated.
Nick Hudson, former ASUO finance coordinator, filed a grievance on April 3 that said the Elections Board sabotaged Jacob Daniels and Amy DuFour’s ASUO Executive campaign by removing the posters. Hudson and several others from the Daniels-DuFour campaign arrived at the kiosks early Monday morning to be the first to post campaign posters.
They put 16 posters on each of the two kiosks, but ASUO Elections Coordinator Ryan Coussens tore down all but one from each side. Hudson, who is dating DuFour, said the rule change from last year allowed four posters per bulletin board, increasing the limit from one.
