Ballot drop-offs have new county locations

Residents in West Lane County will have two new locations to drop off ballots for the May 16 primary election.
The Fern Ridge Library in Veneta and the Junction City Library in Junction City will no longer be available as official ballot drop sites, according to Lane County Elections.
In Junction City, the new ballot box will be in the parking lot north of the Junction City Public Library on Greenwood Street, and in Veneta the box will be in the parking lot of Veneta City Hall on Eighth Street.
In addition, the EMU drop box at the University will be moved outside of the building entrance because of the ongoing maintenance.
All ballots are due at an official drop box location by 8 p.m. on May 16.
