A 21-year-old University student awoke Wednesday morning to find an empty beer keg smashed through his car’s windshield.
Billy J. Hernandez found his 1989 gray Toyota Tercel vandalized outside his South University neighborhood home around 7:45 a.m. The incident happened sometime Tuesday night after Hernandez went to bed.
“I don’t know why someone would do that,” Hernandez said, “what the point is really. All it does is make people upset.”
Eugene Police Department spokeswoman Kerry Delf said the report was taken over the phone and the incident is considered second-degree criminal mischief. Police have no suspects at this time.
